The Pike was this big!
Trevor and Charlie took the opportunity of the PADI Open Water dives to have a “Male Bonding” couple of days. Father and Son left the women in the household at home, preferring instead to stay in a caravan and make a mess!
Of course they didn’t need women around! – Well apart from to remind them of minor incidentals like underwear… oh and towels.. oh and logbook..
They did of course do some real “men” things in the evenings like fall asleep after a takeaway while watching Die Hard!
During the day however, the bonding was as strong as ever! Charlie, (son) was amazing! his diving skills were far better than experienced divers twice his age, and Trevor (Dad) put all his experience from the pool training into practice. We all had a terrific day, lots and lots of laughter, and lots and lots of fun.
There will be plenty of Family days in the future, where the women will go off to the Carvery and the boys will be out diving!
I just hope that I get a chance be diving with Trevor and Charlie again sometime in the future. It was a privilege to be involved in a small part of their training.
