PADI IDC - day 7
Today we learnt how to teach in Open Water. This was just like real life!
We started the session with a workshop on Ascents and Descents. It was years since we last took part in a CESA, but PADI Course Director got us comfortable and gave us some very easy tips and tricks on how to control students in both Ascents and Descents.
Again we spent most of the day laughing, and as usual we all agreed that we learned lots.
Hightlight of my IDC
The beach is my favorite place to be. We spent the whole day there. We started by having coffees and ice cream around a table while we learned how to conduct our lesson.
Then we did a dry run! much to the amusement of other people on the beach! But it really prepared us for the real thing.
PADI IDC - days 8 to 11
The Best Experience - Ever!
I am convinced that our PADI IDC was the very best IDC that the world has ever seen! We had so much fun, so much laughter and made friends for life!
The IDC taught me as much about myself as it taught me about teaching.
I also know that the techniques that we learned are perfect for the customers of today!
The rest of the IDC was just as much fun! verytime we made another presentation, it was more polished than before. The whole act of teaching became more familiar. With that familiarity, came more confidence, more laughter and more professionalism. As the IE grew closer, we were at the "Bring in ON!" stage.
We knew that the Examiner was just looking to see if we could do it or not! and we KNEW that we could!
