Teaching diving is a wonderful thing to do, but it’s only successful if the learner is enthused and motivated to enjoy their new and exciting life. So, during this PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course, we took apart the theory behind the techniques of teaching in the classroom, and teaching in confined water. We then put it all back together again using the most modern methods of psychology and life coaching. In effect we “cut the crap” which is still so prevalent with some “dinosaur” Instructors that are still teaching courses the same as they were 5 years ago or more. We were determined to make sure that our methods TAUGHT PEOPLE and not just taught courses. I have been so impressed by the passion shown by these 10 people determined to improve their teaching techniques.
Most of them are already very experienced Instructors, most of them working for Emperor Divers in Marsa Alam, Hurghada, El Gouna or Hamata. All of them very successful as Diving Educators.
The course was a resounding success, we had a lot of laughter and ended up with lots of new ideas, new inspiration and new motivation.
