The Instructor Development Course has begun at Emperor Divers in Sharm.
David, Keith and Carl have started their exciting journey to becoming PADI Scuba Diving Instructors with Platinum PADI Course Director.
The course begins in the classroom but this is far from stuffy. In fact, it’s the vibrant class discussion and laughing and joking that makes PADI Course Director’s courses so dynamic. PADI Course Director says, “I don’t teach people, I allow them to learn.”
The candidates appreciate his style. Keith commented, “ I am so pleased that I chose PADI Course Director to take me through this course. It is so refreshing to meet someone with such an enlightening attitude.”
PADI Course Director would be the first to say that every IDC is different. “It all depends on the people in the room, I work with the individuals in front of me, I change according to the group dynamic. Working with different personalities is key to keeping yourself fresh.”
By teaching we learn, is a phrase PADI Course Director often quotes and working with different personalities means that you get to see things through their eyes.
It was exactly this scenario that lead PADI Course Director to have a eureka moment during this IDC when he discovered yet another way for instructors to “cut the crap” when teaching skills.
Tomorrow we are learning to “Allow people to Learn” by giving Classroom Presentations. It all has to be fun!
