What happens on a 3 day PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course?
We spend 3 days discussing the psychology of how people learn. Each of the days is dedicated to show people how to teach in three areas
1. In the Classroom – You’ll learn how to teach and evaluate new Assistant Instructors on how to teach in the classroom.
You’ll learn that class sessions are far more about teaching scuba diving, than they are about teaching dive theory.
2. In Confined water – You’ll learn how to teach and evaluate new Assistant Instructors on how to teach skills in Confined water. You’ll learn how important it is to allow people to learn at their own pace. You’ll be amazed at how fast this can be!
You’ll learn the importance of interactive briefings/debriefings where the learner will be in control of their own improvement.
You’ll also learn how to teach people by DIVING and not KNEELING.
3. In Open water – We will NOT go into Open Water, but you’ll still learn how to teach and evaluate new Assistant Instructors how to teach divers in Open Water.
You’ll learn how to evaluate people in each of these areas, but more importantly you’ll learn how to critique them using POSITVE COACHING.
During this course, you’ll learn the true value of the “Power of Words”.
Every single person who has attended the PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course has told me how valuable the course has been to them, and how much it has changed their own teaching.
Of course, once you have taken the 3 day PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course, it makes sense to then attend another PADI IDC as a certified PADI IDC Staff Instructor. You can then see how all of the techniques are put into place, and you’ll see how quickly the IDC Candidates gain the confidence to give effective and professional presentations.
How much does it cost, how to I book?
