Scuba Republic – PADI 5 Star IDC Centre

Scuba Republic is situated right in the centre of England with fantastic rail and road links.  So you can access world class training where ever you are in the country.  Scuba Republic Dive Centre is located beside the A1 motorway within the Roxton Garden Centre, so there is lots of free on-site parking. There is a Travelodge just a stones throw away if you want to stop over during the course.  A variety of other accommodation is available at nearby towns of Bedford and St. Neots.

Scuba Republic – Water work

Most of your training will be in the confined and open water. 

The confined water will be in a swimming pool that is just 10 minutes from the classroom and is an ideal size for learning to become a PADI Instructor. 

Open water training takes place at Gildenburgh Water which is where your PADI Instructor Exam will be held. It is approx. 45 mins drive away from the dive centre.

Valuable Work Experience

As a newly qualified PADI Instructor, you will want to get cracking at teaching right away.  But you still have a lot to learn and not everyone has a local dive centre where they can build up this valuable experience.  So here’s another benefit of doing your PADI IDC with PADI Course Director.

PADI Course Director has connections with dive centres in Sharm El Sheikh, it’s one of the busiest dive destination in the world.  You will be able to travel there and undertake a work experience placement for 1 month.  You will team teach with highly experienced permanent Instructors while you learn the full logistics of running courses.  As and when your comfort zone expands, you will be able to teach courses on your own.
